Your host, Meri DeLorenzo Howard, is an American world traveler who speaks Italian. She finished the corso medio at L'università per stranieri in Perugia, Italy and has a B.A. in Italian language and literature from the University of Washington. She stayed several months with her cousins in Bologna. She knows Italy well. Besides living in Italy, she has made several other visits and has traveled throughout Italy. In 2003, she bought the house in Piemonte that will be the hub for our tours. She has been involved with Italian folk music for 30 years and has a website called italianfolkmusic.com. She is a gourmet cook who in years past had a catering business and taught Italian cooking classes.
